Liam Hirsch is rich, owns an AI company with a successful app and about to release a newer one. He’s married to Celeste and has twins, a boy and a girl and should be on the top of the world. He’s been having medical issues and his doctor has told him he has an advanced case of ALS and doesn’t have long to live. Then he discovers money missing at his company, his wife is having an affair and he may not be dying.. He has hired Andrea, a private detective and they work together to figure out what is going on. There’s any number of suspects and as he closes in on who it might be, he learns a lot about his friends and enemies, and the person doing these things might be right in front of him. This is an excellent character-driven novel, with how the effects of AI can alter things for a person. With twists and turns, you get emotionally invested in the story. A great summer beach read.
