Lauren lives in Spain with her two-year-old son Sam and is always looking over her shoulder. Hope lives in England, has a son named Sam who is the same age as Laurens, but her little boy went missing months ago. Now Lauren has decided to turn herself in and return to London. What she is charged with, I cannot say, it would be a spoiler. The lives of Lauren, Hope and Drew, her husband, have been intertwined since one night, and we flashback to everything that leads up to what is happening now. There are lots of twists and turns, leading up to the reveals of the things that have changed the lives of these three people and the two baby Sams. This is an intense, twisty novel that you think you know what is going on, and then bam, a new twist. A perfect end-of-the-year novel for your reading pleasure.
