Peter Ash’s girlfriend gets a call from her reporter friend, Katelyn Thorsen, nicknamed KT, who lives in Seattle, that she is being threatened over a story she is working on, although she has no idea what story. The threat is also aimed at her daughter, Ellie. Peter Ash shows up in Seattle to look out for her, and they soon run into trouble. When KT is murdered, Peter and Ellie go on the run, and Peter gets reinforcements from June and his friend Lewis, who fly to Seattle. Peter is wanted by the police and stashes Ellie with his friend Manny and his family. As they investigate what is going on, they find a group is planning an attack in order to take back America. It’s a race across time to try and stop this, the bodies pyle up, and Peter finds his life in danger once again, leading to a climactic showdown, Peter Ash style. This is the ninth novel in the series, and another great action-packed thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The Peter Ash series is one of my favorites, and author Nick Petrie never disappoints.
