Book Review: ‘The Dane Of My Existence: A Novel’ By Jessica Martin

Portia Barnes is ready to make partner at the law firm in Boston that she works at. She’s taken the summer off, and gone back to Bard’s Rest, N.H. (the scene of the first novel in this series), where she meets real estate developer Benjamin Dane, who wants to build condos, on Will’s Island, where the annual Shakespeare festival takes place. There’s a mutual attraction between the two, but that doesn’t stop her from representing the merchant association from trying to stop him. The battle only ramps up the attraction between the two, and how this plays out, will go a long way in not only their professional lives, but their personal lives as well. A great cast of characters, and a chemistry between these two, highlight another strong summer rom-com, that is perfect for the beach or summer vacation plans. Also suggest you pick up For The Love Of The Bard, the first novel in the series.

You can pick Up The Dane Of My Existence in stores on Tuesday, July 4th from Berkley.
