A primitive tribe in a future society is ruled by a God named Siaasi, who once a year selects three people to go on a quest to find ‘the cure’ that will save the tribe and mankind. This year, much to her shock, Ava is one of the people picked. This quest is deadly, as no one has found the cure, and if you don’t, you will die along the way. They have a limited number of days to find it. With her are her cousin, Amelia, and a warrior named Amos. Each person has a special power that aids them in life. What they find on the journey is not what they expected. There are other tribes also searching, mechanical monsters and men, and danger at every turn. There will be battles, lives lost and a shocking reveal when someone makes it to the cure, and it’s not at all what you would expect. This is an intense futuristic thriller, with lots of action, and twists you will not see coming. This is one of those books you will not want to put down.
