The year is 1934 and the SS Morro Castle liner is leaving New York, and heading to Cuba, and then back to New York. Aboard is Elena, who has a secret, and an agenda. There’s also Catherine, who is engaged to Raymond, and they both have secrets. There’s Harry, who is a womanizer, and a thief, who crosses paths with Catherine, and Julio, who has a mission he’s on. Over the course of the voyage, someone is shot, robberies will take place, and shocking secrets are revealed. It’s a twisty, soapy voyage at sea, that not everyone will survive. It’s another great historical fiction novel from Chanel Cleeton (who never writes a bad novel), based on the real life ship, and what happened to it.
You can pick up The Cuban Heiress in stores on Tuesday, April 11th from Berkley.
