Hannah and Libby have inherited their grandmother’s PR firm, and are having a rough time of it. They’ve lost clients, and are barely making enough money to survive. In walks Lou, a self-help expert, who could save the firm. But first, the sisters must pass a 12-week crush your comfort zone challenge. They must each do something outside their comfort zone, and write about it. Lou will then decide if she wants to use the firm. For Libby, she must exercise, and compete in an obstacle event with Hannah. For Hannah, she must go on 12 dates over the 12 weeks, she has an issue making small talk. Things get complicated when Hannah’s ex-boyfriend Josh returns to town and when Libby is talking to a potential man, Adam, for Hannah, and falls for him instead. As the weeks go by, shocking secrets are revealed, relationship issues arrive, and the sisters are at a crossroad, both personally, business wise, and in their love lives. They will have to reach deep inside, and go outside their comfort zones to fix things. A well-written character driven novel, that has you emotionally invested in the sisters, and rooting for them. A perfect spring book to sit outside and read.
