Gabriel Allon is once again forced back into service, when one of the world’s most valuable missing paintings is stolen from a rich tycoon, right from his vault, and the man is murdered. The painting was stolen in Boston in 1990, titled The Concert, and Gabriel is asked to use his vast contacts to hopefully find it finally after all these years, and return it home. It leads him to a beautiful thief/hacker, named Ingrid, who stole the painting but didn’t murder the man, and it leads to a man only known as The Collector. Once they find him, it all leads back to Russia, a plan for Ukraine, now that the war is underway, and a plot with whole implications. Gabriel must find a way to get all the information and stop it before it’s too late. This is the 23rd novel in the series, and it’s as good as any others. Its action packed, with an intense climax, and fans of this series will not be disappointed with this one.
You can pick up The Collector in stores on Tuesday, July 18th from Harper.
