Fabian Tulley owns an art gallery in London, in the Mayfair district. Business is doing okay, and on this day, he gets a visit from the police, Jack Lofthouse is accusing him of selling him a painting that is a forgery. Then Jack files a lawsuit against him, and starts badmouthing him to everyone. Someone also gets hold of this client email list and sends out a horrible email. Someone also attacks him as he is leaving a race, breaks into his apartment, burns his car, and runs him down with a motorcycle. He knows it’s Jack, but he has no proof. On top of all of this, he gets a notice to evict his gallery in 90 days, and a megacorporation is building on the site. Fabian decides to go on the offensive, which results in a small victory, but soon finds his life in danger. On the bright side, he reconnects with Vanessa, and a new romance may be in his future. This is another good novel in the series. It’s less about the horses this time, and more about Fabian, who never gives up, even when faced with many obstacles. Fans of the series will enjoy this one.
