Mel is an influencer, who lives in Boston, and has done really well with it until recently. Things now are not that good, her brand if falling, and her adoptive father has died. When she gets an invitation to a Nova Scotia resort, to use on her page, she jumps at the chance. When there’s a mix up in the plans, she has to stay at a b&b, where she runs into Evan, a good-looking man, with a chip on his shoulder. When she goes out on his boat, an accident takes place, and he’s in the hospital. Since she’s not family, in order to see him, she pretends to be his fiancée, and his family believes this. Well you know how this goes, they develop feelings for each other, and now have to decide if they can put their baggage behind them and be together. A fun rom-com, that hits all the right notes. Author Amy Lea knows how to write these kinds of books. Fans of the genre will enjoy this one.
