Greta Oto is an entomologist working in South America on a grant. She soon learns that her twin brother Danny, who she hasn’t seen in over a year, as they had a falling out, is in the hospital with a brain aneurysm. She immediatley flies back to Iowa to be by his side and that of his fiancee is she doesn’t really like. Then to make matters worse her estranged mother shows up. The one who left 15 years ago and never looked back. And now Great has no money, no job as she will lost her grant. She has to turn to her ex-boyfriend Brandon for a job while she stays her to help look after Danny, who has more medical issues.
Now Greta who isn’t much of a people person has a lot on her plate as she has to deal with her past and her present in order to move forward. A well-written story with an interesting character in Greta. You root for her as you read along with her story.
