The setting is St. Tredork, a small village, near Cornwall, in England. Nora Davies has moved here from London after a situation with her job. She’s engaged to Craig and her wedding is happening in days. She works at the local community center and runs a book club once a month with Phyllis, Arthur, Michael and Ash. The morning after book club, ten thousand pounds is missing from the office, it was for fixing the roof. The police think someone from the club stole the money and the prime suspect is Michael, who has vanished and whose mother was found dead in his house. The four members decide to investigate and come up with clues and finally figure out what has been going on, leading to a shocking reveal at Nora’s wedding. This book is great. The four book club members are quirky and a lot of fun and you fall in love with them. The twists and turns come fast in the second half of the book and leave you wanting more with these characters (hopefully there will be more books with these four).
