Margaret Finch is considered an oddball by some people. She’s tall, lives in a small cabin in the woods, keeps everything organized and drives a truck that is at least 20 years old. She is a research assistant at a university for Dr. Jonathan Dever, who is working on a plant-based cure for cancer. When he’s found dead, it’s ruled that he died of a heart condition, but she doesn’t buy it, especially when the university she works for wants to keep his research and let someone else take the credit for it. She decides to investigate and teams up with an ex-reporter, who is working as a custodian, to find out what really happened. She has to work fast so that the killer doesn’t know what she’s doing and doesn’t get to close to the truth. This is a fun novel, with a great character in Margaret and the supporting characters. This is a mystery you don’t want to miss.
