Three women come together to lease storefront on the beach in Los Angeles and combine their businesses under one roof, become close friends and business associtates. Their 3 seperate stores take off but their personal lifes are in crisis. Bree owns the bookstore and had a rough childhood, her parents never wanted her and treated her life they didn’t. She’s also had her heart broken and won’t take a chance on it being broke again. Mikki, who owns the gift shop, has been divorced from Perry for three years and they share custody of two kids and are very friendly. She’s ready to get back in the dating pool slowly. Ashley has a muffin shop and has been with Seth for a year now and they’re madly in love and she’s hoping for a marriage proposal. As the three of them try to move forward in their romantic lives, they’ll be tested and will need the support of each other to figure out who and what they want moving forward. Author Susan Mallery has written yet another heart-warming, well-written story featuring 3 strong women. Through in some steamy scenes, a supporting character in Earl (read the book to find out who he is) and a story you become engaged in, for a perfect beach read.
