Jo Bailen used to be a copy, now she is a private detective, working for an all-female agency in Tucson, Arizona. She gets assisgned to a case that hits close to home, her former best friend in highschool, Rose, has gone missing and her mother wants Jo to find her. It means going back to the town where she grew up and having to deal with old memories. She runs into her former boyfriend, Tyler, a cop there, and they work together to look for Rose. Jo quickly learns Rose was hated by a lot of people and the search for her ends up taking a deadly turn, as two people end up dead and someone wants Jo dead as well. A good start to this new detective series, Jo is a strongly written woman and this novel is a twisty, psycholigical thriller. I can’t wait for more adventures with her.
