Once Arthur died in the first book, Freya and her Aunt Carole inherited Crockleford Antiques, in a small English village. They also have a side business investigating and trying to find stolen art and antiques. Freya has been hired to be an expert for an antiques cruise, then it is rescinded and then she ends up on the cruise. She’s looking for a stolen painting and she finds out so much more is going on with this cruise. Also aboard is Phil, an FBI agent, Bella who is an old foe and the Collector, a person who has stolen a lot of art over the years and has never been caught. She teams up with Phil and soon figures out almost no one can be trusted. She finds the painting, and other stolen art and it leads to a climax where she may not make it out alive. This is a great follow-up to the first novel. The characters of Freya and Carole are a hoot, the story is fun and these ladies are strong and smart. I can’t wait for the next novel in the series.
