The year is 1999 and the body of Alaska Sanders is found on the beach, in New Hampshire. The murder is solved within days and everyone has moved on with their lives. Author Marcus Goldman, who has written a couple of successful books, Eleven years later after another death, he teams up with one of his best friends, Sergeant Perry Gahalwood, and they find that maybe the killer of Alaska wasn’t who is in prison. No stone is unturned, and the novel goes back and forth in time to cover every angle they find, and it leads to shocking reveals. This book is great. It’s a well-written, character-driven novel, and I just loved the two Marcus and Perry. Almost every chapter ends on a cliffhanger, and you want to read on to find out the reveal. This is one of those books you just don’t want to put down.
