Claire Fitzroy, who is 55, gets on the train leaving Manchester and heading to London. She never expected her life would change this day. Armed hijackers attempt to take over the train, and Claire leads a group that rises up against them. Now, two years later, the trial against the hijackers is starting, the news is all over it, and Claire is one of the star witnesses. She is grilled by the defense and is even accused of being the reason someone died on that day. Claire becomes the bad person and is determined to clear her name by writing a book. We follow along via the book writing, emails, testimony, and details of Claire’s interviews with the police about what really happened that day. This is an intense, well-written, page-turning novel you will not want to put down. This one is not to be missed.
