Book Review: ‘Take The Honey And Run: A Novel’ By Jennie Marts

The town of Humble Hills, Colorado is the setting for this fun debut novel featuring the character of Bailey Briggs. She has moved back home to help take care of her grandmother, Blossom Briggs aka Granny Bee, a beekeeper, who broke her foot. Bailey is a writer of murder mysteries, and now there’s a real life murder in town, and Bailey is on the case trying to solve it. And Blossom becomes the prime suspect, after her honey turns out to be what caused the murder. Of course, someone doesn’t like her investigating, and makes their intention known. Will Bailey be able to figure out who the killer is before it’s too late? This is another of what I like to call small town-murder mysteries, with fun, quirky characters, small-town fun, and a story that is easy to follow. Hopefully there will be more books in the series.

You can pick up Take The Honey And Run in stores on Tuesday, JUly 18th from Crooked Lane.
