June Walker left Love County, Oklahoma, when she was seventeen, after her Grandmother died. Her brother Cash had custody of her and was going back to school in New Hampshire, and he made her leave. It meant leaving her boyfriend, Noah, the man she loved and was going to marry. Today, she lives in San Francisco and works at a marketing job, one she doesn’t really like. When she gets fed up with the job, she quits and finds out that her family’s sundflower farm is up for auction, and she decides to move back and buy the farm. It also means seeing Noah, who is now a firefighter. She gets the farm and starts working to get it up and running. She also has Noah hanging around, and they soon talk about the past, and figure out they still love each other, have hot sex, and plan a future together, if they can put the past and the obstacles that are in front of them now. This is a well-written rom-com, with two characters you root for to be together. In a year of great romance novels, this is another to add to your collection.
