Trident Falls, Oregon, is once again the site for the second novel in the series. Arthur and Sal are a married vampire couple who have been together a long time. They own a bed & breakfast, and business is finally good. Arthur is also a Vampire PI, and his first job is finding the mother of teenager Brody. While a festival, where a coven of witches is gathering, Sal takes his car, Romble, to a pet psychic, and is appalled at what she tells him. They have words, and soon she is found dead, and Sal is once again arrested for murder, like in the first novel. He is quickly released, and Arthur and Sal are on the case to find out who the murderer is they think it’s one of the witches. When they finally figure it out, Arthur also finds out what happened to Brody’s mother. This book is great! It’s well-written, quirky, funny, with lots of LOL moments. These two vampires are a riot, really love each other, and often try to top each other when bantering. A perfect end of the summer novel, and you should also pick up the first novel, Dead & Breakfast.
