I always look forward to December because that means it’s time for a new Laurie Montgomery and Jack Stapleton novel from the master, Robin Cook. This is the 15th novel in the series, and once again, it’s another great one. Robin never disappoints with these novels. Jack and Laurie have an empty house for the first time in a long time, with the kids off to summer camp. When Jack gets a call from an old friend, Dr. Bob Nielson, whom Jack went to school with, who lives in Upper New York, in Essex Falls, asking for help with a strange case. Jack and Laurie jump at the chance to go on a mini-vacation and to help Bob out. People are dying of mysterious cases and what looks like a mysterious outbreak of early Alzheimer’s cases. There’s something strange going on here, and Jack is determined to find out what’s going on and it puts his life in danger. Fans of Robin’s will enjoy this one.
