The next book in the Valroux series is a delightful winner. Filled with great characters, a fun setting in Paris and lots of food that will make you hungry. And a love story to warm you heart. Sophie Valroux is an awesome chef who has always had a goal to be a Michelin rated chef. After a bad deal in New York she’s back in Champvert, France and running the estate and restaurants she inherited from her late Grandmother. She also has a new man in Remi, who she loves and who wants to marry her. Things are rough at first taking over everything but things start to go on a pattern and looking up. Then Sophie has a freak accident and looses her sense of smell and taste but never tells anyone. Then she’s invited to cook at one of the biggest events in Paris and it could mean big things for her career. She has to hope that her recipes and sense of cooking will carry her through until hopefully her senses return. On top of that things happen in Paris that have a direct bearing on her relationship with Remi and when she returns to Champvert things may never be the same again.
You can pick up Sophie Valroux’s Paris Stars in stores on Tuesday, October 19th from Berkley.
