Elizabeth Davis is a Professor and is teaching classes this summer. One of them is creative writing, where her students write a first chapter of a novel and she’s grading them when one novel hits too close to home. A student named Hannah Greer has written a chapter right out of Elizabeth’s life from 20 years ago, involving her friend Jocelyn and a teacher in high school. More chapters arrive and it is the story of what happened back then, that she killed the teacher and only three people know about it and swore never to talk about it. She tracks the IP address back to her hometown and takes a trip there to visit her mother and investigate. Elizabeth meets a hot stranger in a bar, has a quick fling and learns he’s part of her past and he may know more than he lets on. It all leads to a shocking twist and reveal as to who knows what happened. This is an intense twisty psychological thriller that starts off strong and never lets up.
