Book Review: ‘Some Of It Was Real: A Novel’ By Nan Fischer

Sylvie Young is a psychic and has become very popular and is on the verge of hitting it big. Reporter Thomas Holmes doesn’t believe she has real psychic powers and is writing a story on her and a couple of other psychics and exposing them. He tells Sylvie and asks her for an interview. He has also researched her past and things don’t add up. She decides to make a deal with him. She takes him on a road trip and exposes him to things in her life. And as they spend time together, they learn all sorts of things about each other and secrets are exposed and a mystery about Sylvie’s past comes to light. They also fall for each other but situations keep coming between them and then awful truths are revealed. They will have to re-discover who they each are and hope that they can move forward together. This is part rom-com/dramedy and works on every level. Fans will becomed engaged with both these characters (and their pets, a dog named Moose and cat named Chris). This is one not to miss.
