Leo Vega and Sofi Santant have had an on-and-off thing going on for years, but never committed to each other. After the events of the first book, Sofi has had a fallen out with Leo’s sister, and her best friend, Kamilah, and has fled to Paris. Now a year and seven months later, Sofi is back, and makes up with Kamilah, and she and Leo are still snarky friends of sorts. While she was gone, the hunky firefighter was shot and nearly died. He still has shoulder issues and hopes to heal enough to return to active duty, instead of just desk work. When Sofi needs a place to stay, she ends up in the huge family apartment Let lives in, they find a puppy and adopt it and fall back into bed, with hot sex (some steamy scenes). Leo has confessed his love and wants of a relationship, but Sofi has her own issues and isn’t ready to commit right now. Now one to give up Leo will do what he can to convince her they should be together. This is another good book in the series. Following along with these two and the crazy family is a lot of fun, the addition of the puppy and an upcoming wedding, make for a fun continuation of this family’s story.
