The 16th book in the series is another winner. It’s a thrilling adventure to Egypt, where a murder takes place and Emily and Colin search for a killer. Using Egypt as a setting enhances the story, with vivid detail for the time setting that the novel takes place in. The year is 1904 and Lady Emily, Colin Hargreaves and his mother are off to Egypt to visit with Lord Deeley, an old friend of Colin’s mother. When they get there they have a lavish dinner and after dinner when having drinks, Lord Deeley dies, someone has poisoned him. Colin and Emily take over the house and start investigating. They soon find that everyone in the house had a motive for wanting Deeley dead, including Colin’s mother. Emily soon gathers everyone together and announces she knows who killed Deeley. Fans of this series will not be disappointed with the latest novel.
