Boady Sabden is a lawyer, and college professor at the moment, who also helps out with the innocence project. He also is the Godfather and guardian for Emma, the daughter of his late best friend Ben, who murdered his wife, and was shot to death in Boady’s office at his house by police, after evidence was found that he was guilty. Boady and his wife Dee haven’t told Emma about all of what happened yet, as she is only 14 and they wanted to wait for the right time. And now they are in a custody fight with Emma’s aunt, who wants control of her trust fund. And one day in his office, he gets a visit from Ruth Matthews, whose brother Elijah, was convicted of murder, who claims to be a prophet and speaks to god, asks for his help in clearing him, as she believes he is innocent. At first, he thinks the case is correct, until he sees a picture of Elijah somewhere during the time the murder was committed, and starts to look into the case, and maybe he is innocent. A dual storyline story, highlights this fantastic novel. The legal aspects are compelling, and the story is one you get engaged in, and you don’t want to put down.

You can pick up Saving Emma in stores on Tuesday, September 19th.
