In 1992 Sarah Lingate, the wife of the heir to the Lingate fortune died in Capri, no one was ever charged for her death. Thirty years later the Lingate family is heading back to Capri for their annual vacation there. Helen, the daughter of Sarah, wants to get away from her family and has come up with a plan to do just that on this trip, along with her friend Lorna, who is the assistant to her uncle Marcus. On the night the plan was to go down, Lorna vanishes and her body is later found. This opens up another investigation into Sarah’s death and we get shocking twists about what happened back then and even more shocking twists, as not everything is as it seems. This is an excellent character-driven novel, with the use of Capri as a backdrop for the story, only enhances the story.
