Book Review: ‘Ruby Falls: A Novel’ By Deborah Goodrich Royce

Ruby was six years old when her father left her in a cave they were touring and he never came back. He did leave her with a mysterious piece of paper with numbers on it and she kept it hidden. Now at the age of 26, she calls herself Eleanor, was a star on a soap opera and was fired from the show. She went to Italy and after six weeks married Orlando and moved to Los Angeles and resumed her acting career. She got the lead in a new gothic suspense movie. But things start going wrong for her. She still thinks of her father, her marriage is not going good, a mysterious older woman across the street seems to know about her hidden past and she thinks Orlando is after the secret message her father left her. But one night as the movie is wrapping up things go crazy and we learn the sorid truth of her past and present and it’s a shocking reveal full of twists and turns you don’t see coming. A solid thriller that will have you go wow. It’s quite the ride.
