The third book in this series is as good or better than the first two. It’s all action from start to finish (and don’t even try to keep up with the body counts) and does a great job in keeping the Robert Ludlum universe going. Adam Hayes is at home in New Mexico, as off the grid as he can be, recovering from injuries and trying to make up for lost time with his wife and now about to be four year old son, his birthday is in a few days. Then he sees the helicopter arriving at his ranch and he knows they’re coming for him. Director Levi Shaw of Treadstone tells him an opp has gone bad in Haiti and he’s need for a simple extract mission. Adam agrees to do it as long he will be back for his son Jack’s birthday. What should be a simple mission is anything but. Everything goes wrong…there’s traitors in Washington sabotaging him, there’s Russian and Haitian strike teams after him and the people he’s trying to rescue. There’s multiple gun fights, explosions and plenty of deaths. Adam Hayes will not go down quietly and shows, much like Jason Bourne, what a bad ass he is. When they come for his family, they have made the biggest mistakes of their lives. Author Joshua Hood does an outstanding job writing these novels.
