Book Review: ‘Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Sacrifice: A Novel’ By Brian Freeman

The latest Bourne book is another thrilling ride right from the start, to the shocking final line, which sets up the next book. Author Brian Freeman is once again at the top of his game writing these novels. Bourne is in Iceland getting finally getting a line on Lennon and hoping to get answers about his past. But once again Lennon is one step ahead of him. In Washington a woman is murdered in a park and it’s being covered up. Journalist Abbey Laurent (who hasn’t seen Bourne in over two years) is given information about the possible coverup and goes to work on the story. The murder is part of a group called The Pyramid and they’ll go to great lengts to cover their tracks. It leads to a re-union with Bourne, when he saves her from a hitwoman and they team up once again to figure out what’s going on. They get a lot of information and track then down and Lennon’s involvement with them. But not everything is as it seems and they can’t trust everyone they think they can. It all leads to a shocking climax, a shooting and near death for someone and Bourne having more questions than answers. Fans of the Bourne franchise will be happy with this new novel.
