Book Review: ‘Robert B. Parker’s Revenge Tour: A Sunny Randall Novel’ By Mike Lupica

For Sunny Randall it is just another day of solving a crime or maybe two while she’s at it. Her landlord and best-selling author Melanie Joan Hall is back in town and has a problem. Someone is making a threat against her for stealing her first novel, that was a big hit. Sunny takes the case and starts looking into it. She also has to deal with a threat against her father from Joe Doyle, whose son died in prison, her father was the cop who helped put him away. When dead bodies, people close to Melanie, start turning up, Sunny has no choice but to call in the big guns. Making a cameo is Spenser and Hawk (from the Spenser series), who decides to help out with the case. Things seem to point to Melanie’s ex-husband, who is in jail and both cases could be tied together in some form. Sunny starts putting pieces together but it may to be too late for her and Melanie, when the killer makes a final move. This is another great novel in the series. I love anything Spenser, Jesse Stone and Sunny Randall and Mike Lupica does a great job each and everytime I read one of the two series he writes for.

You can pick up Robert B. Parker’s Revenge Tour in stores on Tuesday, May 3rd from Putnam.
