Ginny Sterling is the only daughter of the rich and powerful Sterling family. She wants nothing more than to be able to be a dragon racer like her father was, and her older brother Danny, who won the championship one year. Danny died helping to rescue dragons a few years ago, and now Ginny has secretly entered The Dragon Riders Championship, against the wishes of her family. She needs a trainer, and makes a deal with Qais, a member of a dragon poaching gang, and when she is kicked out of her house, she goes to live with him. In exchange for helping her, he gets her prize money should she win. With each race, she does better, and soon she and Qais for each other, and start having sex, and declare their love for each other. When the final race is over, Ginny learns a shocking secret that sends her world spiraling, and it leads to the next novel in the series. This is a sequel/spinoff from The Baby Dragon Cafe series, and it’s a good start. Lots of characters from the previous novels are back, and watching Ginny and Qais banter and fall in love is heartwarming and fun. I can’t wait for the next novel in the series.
