Chief Detective Koa Kane investigates the murder of a young street man, who was stabbed to death. The events of this death, lead to his brother being charged with murder. This is only the beginning, as people close to Koa are being targeted. Koa goes on the offense to find out who seems to be after his loved ones, and who is coming for him, and for what reason. It leads to a string of dead bodies, bombings, and traitors in the police department. As Koa gets closer to the truth about what’s going on, it will take everything he has to save the lives of those close to him. This fifth book in the Koa Kane series is quite the emotional rollercoaster. It starts off strong, and never lets up, to the point where if you’re a fan of the series, there are some heartbreaking things that take place, but a satisfying ending (in terms of some deaths) makes up for everything. This is the best book yet in the series. And if there’s another novel coming, look for lots of new stories after the way this one ended.

You can pick it up in stores on Tuesday, June 6th.
