Kenna Rowan has been in jail for five years now after the death of her boyfriend Scotty, she was driving drunk and high, the car flipped and she thought he was dead (he wasn’t but soon died) and she took off. She plead guilty and spent five years in prison. Right after she was sentenced she found out she was pregnant. She had to sign away her rights and Scotty’s parents took in the little girl name Diem. Now she’s back in the town where it all happened hoping to see her daughter. With hardly no money or friends she knows this might be impossible. She then meets Ledger, who was Scotty’s best friend, and things get a little heavey between them. At first she didn’t know who he was but figured it out right away. He soon learns who she is and is furious but softens as he gets to know her and soon they fall for each other. But they have to keep it secret for the sake of Diem and Scotty’s parents who are raising her. They’re not sure where this can go and soon the word is out that they are involved and it has rips things apart. Ledger is soon given an impossible choice and he hopes that he can get everyone together and on the same page before it’s too late. A well-written character novel that looks at grief, forgiveness and putting the past behind and doing what’s best for everyone. You get emotionally involved with these characters and hope it can all work out. Have some kleenex handy as well, you’ll need them.

You can pick up Reminders Of Him in stores on Tuesday, January 18th.
