Georgia May is a sous-chief at a Michelin starred restaurant in Paris, with dreams of running her own kitchen one day. On this night it might be the end of her career, She finds her boyfriend, the head chef, banging one of her co-workers in the cooler. Also, the top French restaurant critic is there tonight, and she sabotages his meal, looses her sense of taste and then quits. The next day, she’s the talk of Paris. Her mentor suggests she take a trip to regain herself, she’s up for a job in his new restaurant, and she gets an e-mail from her mother, the one that walked out on her when she was a kid. She heads to a small island off the coast of Seattle, meets her mother, learns some truths, and also meets Cole, the hunky man who lives on the estate her mother has, and has a chip on his shoulder. After spending time together, and getting to know each other, and their some of their secrets, they start to hit it off, and Georgia gets her taste back and her spark. When she heads back to Paris after learning shocking secrets, she must decide if that is truly where she wants to be or back with her mother and Cole. A heart-warming story, with two characters you get emotionally invested in, and root for. Fans of rom-coms will enjoy this one.
