Samantha is a stripper at the Lovely Ladys club and has been for years. She makes a good amount of money for the shifts she works. She has a boyfriend and his young daughter she lives with. She is friendly with her co-workers and never makes waves. A new girl has started and Samantha tries to show her the ropes. When she offers to drive her home after an incident at work, things go off the rails. Someone is following them and runs them off the road. And then Samantha goes missing and the girl is found dead. Police detective Victor Amador is first on the scene and then Holly Meylin and the investigation is on. The story is told from multiple points of views and just who took Samantha and other dancers and why is drawn out and told. A well-written, character driven mystery highlights this novel. A good start to the new year.

You can pick up Real Easy in stores on Tuesday, January 11th from Henry Holt.
