Book Review: ‘Read To Death At The Lakeside Library: A Novel’ By Holly Danvers

Lofty Pines, Wisconsin is the setting for this delightful small town murder mystery, filled with fun characters, and an easy story to read. Rain is now the owner of the small library in town, and decides to bring back a weekly book club. At the first one, they decide to talk about Agatha Christie’s Sparkling Cyanide book. There’s a bit of tension when one of the ladies admits not reading, just watching the movie. The next morning Rain, and her best friend Julia go to check on Lily, one of the ladies at the book club, and find her dead, she’s been poisoned. Julie’s police officer brother Jace, a potential love interest for Rain, starts an investigation, but so do Rain and Julia, which leads to shocking things being discovered, All leads point to someone in the book club, and someone doesn’t want Rain sticking her nose in their business.
