Corrie is an expert on the Aztec warrior Chimalli, and is invited on an expedition to Mexico to search for his remains. Then she finds out her high school rival, Ford Matthews, is in charge of the trip. Eight years ago they were almost together, until they weren’t, and she has held a grudge ever since, but puts this aside to go on the trip. As they spend time together, an attraction starts up again, and they try to fight it, giving into passion. Then strange things start to happen, things go missing, and they figure out someone is trying to sabotage, and steal their work. In order to fight this, they have to team up together to save their lives and the dig. A solid debut novel, with the two characters you root for, and a fun adventure, with the jungle as a great backdrop. Fans of rom-coms will like this one.
