Rachel West dreamed of being a doctor, but it didn’t work out. She works at a tabloid magazine as a copyright editor, and in 2008, she runs into Molly Byrne, a former child star, who is now 24. They meet in the bathroom at a club and become fast friends. Days later, Molly’s body is found in her Beverly Hills home, and it seems like an overdose. Rachel doesn’t believe it, she knew her friend better, and knows that Molly had stopped using. Molly decides to investigate her death and find out what really happened to her. This is a fun murder mystery, with a great supporting cast of characters and twists and turns. A perfect summer beach read. Hopefully, there will be more adventures with Rachel and crew.
