The one rule about Fight Club is you don’t talk about Fight Club. The main rule about the underground reality game called Rabbits is you don’t talk about Rabbits. No one knows a lot about it. It is about to start its next version and people are excited about it. It’s finding a series of clues and the one person that solves it gets some sort of a prize (which no one knows what it is). For K (and we never learn full name). K is excited about the new version and wants in. But she soon learns what you want can be deadly. People are being killed and disappearing now. So K and Chloe go on a deep search to try and find out as much as they can about the game and the people behind it. K is told that help is need with this new version before it’s too late. This puts K’s life in danger and the shocking reality about what it’s all about and how she is the only one that can save the world before it’s too late.
A solid thriller, filled with all sorts of video game, scientific and pop culture references. Some of which went right over my head but the story as a whole is thrilling and keeps the reader invested right up to the ending.
You can pick up Rabbits in stores on Tuesday, June 8th from Del Rey.
