Book Review: ‘Possession: A Novel’ By Katie Lowe

Author Katie Lowe follows up her great first novel The Furies with another twisty-filled thriller, with lots of twists and turns that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. You think it might be going one way and then bam it goes another, leading up to a crazy reveal. More novels like this and Katie will be someone big in the future.

Ten years ago Hannah McLelland woke up to find her husband Graham dead on the floor. She has no memory of that night and soon after a man is arrested and convicted of the murder. Hannah leaves with her six year old daughter and starts her life over again. Now ten years after the events of that night a true-crime type podcast is investigating the murder. They don’t think the man that was convicted did it. And it brings up that night all over again for Hannah, her daugher and new husband. It brings up secrets from those days and Hannah thinks she’s losing it, as she keeps seeing Graham and he’s talking to her. And then weird things are happening and Hannah may be losing her mind, her daughter and her current husband. Just what is her reality now?
