Book Review: ‘Payback: A Novel’ By Nancy Allen

Kate Stone was targeted in the first book of this series, and she’s now on the road to recovery, and looking for answers for who killed her father and why. It seems to come down to Ian Templeton, a rich, powerful man, who seems to be untouchable. As Kate digs, she finds not everything is what it should be. The people she has around her as friends, may not really be her friends, she finds herself in danger at every turn, and when she finally gets the answers she wants, it may be too late for her. A solid second novel in the series, with lots of twists and turns, keeps the reader engaged. Hopefully more Kate Stone novels will be coming.
