Kevin Doyle used to serve his country, but now he is serving a mysterious person, killing retired cops and making it look like suicide. He’s also killing drug dealers. NYPD Police Detective Michael Bennett has been asked by Inspector Celeste Cantor, who is retiring soon and looking at going into politics, to look into the deaths of these cops, on the sly. His investigation leads him to the drug dealers who have died as well. When he lucks out and gets a clear fingerprint, it leads him to Kevin, with a shocking reveal as to who hired him and a dramatic showdown. In his personal life, his wife Mar Catherine, who is pregnant, is having issues and is confined to bed rest for two weeks, and the kids are stepping up to help out and his son Ricky is trying out for a cooking reality show. At its core these novels are about family. It’s another thrilling novel, my favorite James Patterson series and this one does not disappoint. Fans of the series will enjoy this one.
