Danica Pierce and Ezra Hart are both lawyers and damn good ones working for different firms. They have battled each other on a number of occasions and each has won cases against the other. Danica thinks he is a pompous asshole and can’t stand him. That doesn’t stop them from having a secret sexual relationship built on lust and hate and every time Danica says it will be the last time but it is not. Know they’re facing off in a big divorce case that could do wonders for their careers if they win. The pressure is on both of them and they continue to have sex and get to know each other better and fall for each other. Ezra has family pressure from his overbearing father and Danica has pressure from her client to win this case. When something happens during the case Danica accuses Ezra of something bad and it may just be the end of them. This is a great novel from author Lana Ferguson who never writes anything bad. The love/hate relationship is off the charts, as is the sex, with some very steamy scenes. This is one of the best rom-coms of the year.
