Four friends reunite for a weekend adventure in Iceland. By the time the weekends over one of them will not return. Daniel, Helena, Armann and Gunnlaugar trek off to the mountains to hunt for birds. A massive blizzard hits and they find shelter in a hunting hut and wait out the storm. When they get into the hut, they find a man sitting in a chair with a gun. This leads to a standoff, the man doesn’t seem to be dangerous. Daniel goes off to try and find another hut with a radio to try and get help. At the cabin the three remaining characters watch the man in the chair and start confronting each other with secrets from their pasts (everyone has at least one secret). Everything is not as it seems with these four, tragey strikes and a shocking reveal is made. This is another in a long line of great Icelandic adventures from author Jónasson, who never disappoints. Each chapter is told from a different character and the tension mounts as twists and turns take place, leading to the shocking reveals.

You can pick up Outside in stores on Tuesday, June 28th from Minotaur.
