Fred and Thea have been married for 20 years, and have written 20 Death Takes A Holiday novels together; most have been successful. Thea is ready to call it quits, and end the series and the marriage. Fred wants to continue it with another writer. At a book festival in Italy, on a conference panel, someone dies after drinking a drink meant for Thea. Then another person dies as well, and again, Thea thinks it was meant to be her. The deaths are based on one of their earlier books, Death Takes A Castle, and now they have to work together to figure out what is going on before it’s too late for one or both of them. A fun murder mystery novel, with quirky characters and an easy-to-read plot. A perfect middle of the summer beach read.
