Book Review: ‘Or Else: A Novel’ By Joe Hart

Author Andy Drake returns to his hometown to help take care of his father, who has memory issues. His sister and his nieces live close by and they both want what’s best for dad. Andy also has been having an affair with his married neighbor Rachel, for six months now. Then he gets a message telling him to end the affair now or else. Somebody is aware of their sneaking around and Andy has no idea who. Then a series of deaths start happening around Andy, a woman who was like a mother to him, Rachel’s husband and his business partner. And now Rachel and her two boys have vanished. Andy decides to investigate and each clue leads him down a dangerous path. They’re people that don’t want him looking into things and he gets warnings to back off. But he’s determined to figure it all out and when he finally puts all the pieces together it may be too late. A great mystery novel that starts off strong and fast and never lets up. A book you won’t want to put down.
