Brooks Atwood was a star football player until an injury forced him to retire. On that same day, he caught his ex cheating on him. He then spiraled into a period of drinking and having lots of sex and pictures surfaced. Now two years later he’s cleaned up his act and is trying to return to football. He wants to rejoin his old team the Rebels, who aren’t interested because of those pictures. When a picture with Sienna Pippen, who used to date a top player in the league, goes viral the Rebels are interested again. Brooks asks Sienna, who doesn’t think much of him, to fake date him for a while to help his chances of being signed again. She at first says no but her social media blows up and she agrees to the deal. The longer they’re together they start to develop feelings for each other and soon have hot sex (with some steamy scenes) and fall in love, but his return to football could drive them apart. A fun rom-com with two characters you get engaged with and root for to be together. A perfect beach read and if you’re near the water you will need to cool off after reading this sexy novel.
